A childhood story that is dear to me is "No Mirrors in My Nana's House" By Ysaye M. Barnwell. In the story Ms. Barnwell describes who life would be if people were not able to see the differences of one another. "The beauty of everything would be in our eyes, like the rising of the sun is in our eyes".
